Shelter Organizing Project
Outreach Groups
Once
a week, for six weeks, go into a homeless shelter, with a partner, and run a support and outreach group to homeless LGBT people. QEJ’s Community Organizer will provide you with a series of trainings to prepare
you for co-facilitating these groups.
“Know Your Rights” Trainings

on a different issue of concern to homeless and/or low-income LGBT people. Help
plan the topics, contact speakers, book space, conduct outreach.

course must be run.
QEJ Network

dozens of organizations from the queer movement and from the anti-poverty movement.
Coordinate meetings and help develop/run the events that are generated at these meetings.
Research Project
Potential
may exist for interns to work on various research projects, but they are still being developed, and are currently only
in the planning stages.
